How much does the SnowSport HD Snow Plow weigh?

The SnowSport HD weighs 110 lbs. During regular use you'll only need to lift one side at a time, so to operate this plow you'll be lifting about 50 - 60 lbs. at a time.

Does this plow feature any electronics or hydraulics?

On its own, the SnowSport HD is entirely manually operated. However, you can add an electric plow winch if you wish.

The quality of the product seams very good. All parts fit like glove. I did not rate performance because once I assembled the unit it has not snowed.

Typically I do not write reviews. However, I am extremely satisfied with SnowSport HD. Shipping was fast and well packed. All components are durable. I took my time with the assembly and read the instructions ahead of time. Just used the plow for the first time with heavy wet snow. It performed just as I expected. No yard or grass damage. The SnowSport HD was actually fun to use!

I wish I didn't buy. Does not bite into snow. Doesn't handle uneven ground. If there is any hard pack or ice in the way it is pretty much worthless. Save your money and buy a real plow

Plow is built well, no issues there. I own a ram 2500 diesel with a class 5 hitch on the rear and the factory hitch height is too tall to use with the out of the box setup. I had to purchase a separate drop receiver to get the mounting height within the installation range. Plow works as described however it does leave a small amount of snow on the surface due to its design. I’m considering buying the hold down straps or modifying the rubber blade by adding a strip of steel for better hard pack or ice removal.

Had to install box hitch onto pickup which took a while because I’m not equipped to handle that heavy load. Ended up using floor jack. The remainder was straightforward. Since it hasn’t snowed, I can’t comment on useability.

The plow is completely ineffective on packed snow and ice. If you have expectation of removing packed snow or ice, you will be disappointed. However, the plow is very good at moving fresh snow. I was able to clear my entire driveway in 3 passes, taking less than 10 minutes in a warm vehicle. That is way better than using a snow blower which takes over an hour. The plow is simple to use, simple to store, overall a good choice for me.
